New rules concerning prescriptions for controlled substances

We are required by law to notify our patients about a new law that has gone into effect state wide with regard to the reporting of controlled substances. The Colorado State Legislature is now requiring pharmacies to report all prescriptions for controlled substances, including cough medications containing codeine or hydrocodone, prescription pain medication, sleeping pills, and many medications for ADHD, to a public database. The information pharmacies are required to report includes patient name, birth date, address, doctor name, payment method, drug name, refills, etc. The information can only be accessed by state regulatory boards, doctors, and law enforcement agencies.

Pediatrics has moved to the Lower Level of the East Building

In order to provide more space for our busy pediatricians we have created a new Pediatric Area in the lower level of the East Building.  Dr.'s Schane, Turner, Isaacson, Rosquist and Fan have all moved their offices to this new Pediatric Wing.
Here, patients will have more space, a more comfortable waiting area with separate areas for sick and well children, along with newly decorated kid-friendly exam rooms and a Nursing Mother's Room.  We hope that you and your children will enjoy this new area and that it will provide a comfortable and friendly environment for you to receive medical care.

* Dr. Schaten has chosen to stay in her original office and is not relocating to the new Pediatric Department. Patients of Dr. Schaten can check-in at the Allergy Department.

Allergy has moved to the former Pediatric Area

Allergy is now located on the main level near the entrance of the East Building.
Dr.'s Pincus and Murthy's offices will be located here as well as the Immunology (allergy shot) Clinic.  We hope this bright and sunny space will provide a refreshing change for our patients who spend time in this department.

New Kidzsafe Earbuds are Now Available in Our Audiology Department

Kidzsafe earbuds keep the volume on ipods or any other audio device safe automatically.
These earbuds are compatible with any audio device and and matter how high the volume is turned up, the volume level will always remain below 85 decibels.  Experts agree that listening above 85 decibels is when hearing damage can begin. A great way to help protect your child's hearing.
